Our main area of focus is autism information and awareness. CAN-Abilities’ prior aim is to create awareness by sharing information about autism and the plight of autistic individuals and the challenges they and their families encounter with the public.
We continuously advocate for and on behalf of people with autism and their families. If you are interested in becoming one of our dedicated volunteer, ambassador, and advocate for those with autism, please contact us for more details. We are always on the lookout for people to join us to make the world a better place for autistic persons and their families.
A core part of our work is working collaboratively with other grassroots organisations like Autism Hampshire. We regularly organise regular information awareness sessions in the community and social media platforms in which we bring together experts from other collaborating organisations to share expertise and information on services provided with parents and families on how best to support those with autism.
We are open to collaborating with other organisation working with children and families with autism or offering services of a similar nature. We would be delighted to hear from you should if you are interested in working with us.
Our sign-posting service helps point parents and families of children with autism to services of interest to them. Our experience of as parents of a child with disabilities teaches us that many parents in similar situations are often not aware of services at their disposal. We research about services like charities which provide vital services and connect families with these service providers.
As a grassroot organisation, CAN-Abilities Foundation is very much involved.
